交通大学澳大利亚校友会章程
第一章 会名
第一条
本会的全称为“交通大学澳大利亚校友会”,英文全称为Jiao Tong University Alumni Association Australia,英文简称为JTUAAA.
第二条
交通大学包括上海交通大学(包括原上海第二医科大学和原上海农学院)、西安交通大学(包括原西安医科大学和原陕西财经学院)、北京交通大学(包括原北京电力高等专科学校)、西南交通大学和台湾新竹交通大学.
第二章 宗旨
第三条
增进澳洲交大校友之间的联系和友谊,促进校友事业上的发展。饮水思源,发扬交大“求实学、务实业”的传统,加强澳洲交大校友与母校的联系和合作,沟通国际间交大校友的信息.
第四条
本会是非政治性组织和非盈利性机构.
第三章 会员
第五条
曾经在交大学习和工作过的人均为交大校友。凡是目前居住在澳洲的交大校友,经与本会联系,填写会员登记表,交纳会费,承认本会的章程,即可成为本会的会员.
第六条
会员的义务:
- 有本会各机构成员的选举权和被选举权;
- 参加本会的各项活动,并可提出建议和意见;
- 对母校的各项工作提出建议和意见.
第七条
会员的义务:
- 遵守本会章程,关心本会工作,参加本会组织的各项活动;
- 关心母校的发展,促进学术交流;
- 未经理事会授权不以本会名义对外活动.
第四章 理事会
第八条
本会设理事会,由理事若干名组成.
第九条
理事由全体会员选举产生,任期二年,可以连任.
第十条
理事会设会长一名,副会长若干名,由理事会成员选举产生.
第十一条
理事会负责制定、修改和解释本会章程,决定本会方针,组织本会活动,关心和支持会员的事业拓展.
第五章 关系
第十二条
本会为交大校友总会所承认的澳洲地区唯一的交通大学校友会组织,对外代表澳洲的交大校友,与总会保持密切的联系,参与总会组织的国际性活动.
第十三条
澳洲的各州或领地可以建立分会,分会从属于本会,承认本会章程,其活动相对独立,对外代表本州或本领地的交大校友,与本会保持密切的联系.
第六章 经费
第十四条
本会经费由会员会费、校友捐赠和有关方面资助等组成,其支出由会长和财务共同签字有效.
第七章 附则
第十五条
本章程经理事会于一九九六年十月二十七日第一次全体大会产生并实施。二零零七年四月七日经理事会修改,并由全体会员通过并生效.
第八章 终止活动
第十六条
必要时由全体会员大会三分之二多数表决通过后终止本会活动.
Chapter 1 Name
Item 1:
The name of our association is: “Jiao Tong University Alumni Association Australia”, Short form is JTUAAA
Item 2:
Jiao Tong Universities include Shanghai Jiaotong University (including Shanghai Second Medical University and Shanghai Agricultural College), Xi’an Jiaotong University (including Xi’an Medical Sciences University and Shaanxi Institute of Financial and Economics), Beijing Jiaotong University (including Beijing Electric Engineering College), South-western Jiaotong University and Taiwan Xin Zhu Jiaotong University.
Chapter 2 Purpose
Item 3:
Assisting Jiaoda alumni to network, build up their friendship, and improve alumni work. We shall never forget where we have gained our academic knowledge from and keep our university ideology tradition “Pursue True Knowledge and Practice Right Business”. We shall reinforce our contact with our Alma Mater and our cooperation. We shall strengthen our communication with our alumni abroad.
Item 4:
Our association is non-political and not-for-profit.
Chapter 3 Membership
Item 5:
Our Jiao Tong University Alumni include all those who have ever studied and worked at the Jiao Tong universities and who are now residing in Australia and have filled in their member registration form, paid membership fees and accepted our constitution after they contacted us.
Item 6:
The obligations of our members:
- They have the right to vote and be voted.
- They can participate in our activities and make suggestions
- They can give their opinions to our Alma Maters
Item 7:
The obligations of our members:
- They should abbey this constitution, care for what our work is going on, and participate in all the activities organized by our association.
- They should show their great concern for the development of their Alma Maters and promote the academic exchanges
- They should not arrange any activity in the name of our association without obtaining approval first from our association’s committee.
Chapter 4 Committee
Item 8:
There is a committee in our association made up of a few committee members.
Item 9:
Committee members are elected by our members. Their term is two years and they can go on if re-elected.
Item 10:
There is one Chairman and a few Vice-chairmen elected by committee members.
Item 11:
Committee is responsible for the writing, revising and explaining the constitution of our association and determination of our strategies and organisation activities. Committee should concern for and support our members in their career.
Chapter 5 Relationship
Item 12:
Our association is the only one Jiao Tong university alumni organisation recognized by Jiaoda Alumni Headquarter, which represent Jiaoda alumni in Australia and keep close contact with the headquarters and participate in its activities abroad.
Item 13:
Alumni in other Australian states and territories may have their own alumni divisions attached to our association. They should also accept our constitutions. They can have their own activities and keep contact with us on behalf of their members in their states and territories.
Chapter 6 Membership Fees
Item 14:
Our funds are formed by membership fees, members’ donation and funds from relevant sponsors. Its expense has to be approved and sighed by both Chairman and Treasurer.
Chapter 7 Additional Rules
Item 15:
Our current constitution was written and came into operation on 27 October 1996 after the discussion with our members and passed by all of our members. It was revised and passed at our AGM on 7th. April 2007.
Chapter 8 Activity Termination
Item 16:
If required, our association activities will terminate after two thirds of our members agreed.
